Who we are
Family Law Advisors is a fixed-fee family law document preparation service. We are not a law firm, and we don't provide legal advice ourselves - we prepare your paperwork (things like a divorce application, consent orders, a parenting plan, a child support agreement, a property settlement, or a prenup/binding financial agreement) at a clear, fixed price, then route it through an independent family lawyer in our network for review before anything is signed or lodged.
We built this for couples who've already agreed, or are close to it, on the practical questions - who gets what, where the kids live, how costs get split - and just need it made legally proper. If your situation is genuinely contested or more complex than that, we'll tell you honestly and point you towards a family lawyer who handles disputes directly, rather than trying to force it through a process that isn't built for it.
Why we exist
Traditional family law is built around the assumption of conflict - hourly billing, drawn-out correspondence, and costs that climb because that's what a genuinely contested matter requires. That model doesn't fit a couple who don't have a dispute. You end up paying adversarial-matter prices for a completely cooperative situation, which never felt right to us.
Family Law Advisors exists for that gap: a fixed price instead of the billable hour, a fast and calm process instead of drawn-out correspondence, and real family lawyer review built into every product so it's still done properly - just without paying for a fight that isn't happening.
How the process works
You tell us what you and your ex-partner have already agreed on. We prepare the relevant documents at a fixed price, with no hourly billing or surprise invoices. Before anything is signed or lodged, an independent family lawyer in our network reviews everything, so it's properly drafted and not just filled in. Our reviewing family lawyer network is still being finalised, so we're not naming a specific lawyer or firm here yet - we'll add real details as soon as that's confirmed. What we can tell you now is the process itself: every document we prepare for the fully reviewed service is checked by an independent family lawyer before it's signed or lodged, and DIY Kits are template and guidance products only, not legal advice.
